So, last February, I was innocently buying a tasty hummus and roasted vegetable wrap at my favourite local sandwich place delicatessen.

When to my horror.. I saw a stack of 'Mr Wasabi' Peanuts.. with this character on them.

The company's website seems to pack together practically...

I've been reading more & more lately about how the days of free news content (i.e newspaper sites) on the internet are coming to an end. Would anyone here pay a monthly fee for news content if that were to happen ? I know I would hold out for as long as I could. I would just rely on news aggregator sites instead of actual newspaper sites.

It's a little after 4:00 AM here and I'm up watching CNN because I want to see the "moon bombing" and I saw that Barack Obama just won the Nobel Peace Prize. He's been in office less than 9 months with no real achievements in the area of peace under his belt yet. How odd that they would choose him especially in light of his intention to add more troops to Afghanistan. Very odd.

I don't know any of the details (whether or not there was 3rd party sexual harassment) so it's difficult to render judgment just yet but it kind of irritated me last night to see him get a hero's welcome when he walked on the set to do his opening monologue. Did anyone see the news story (including video) of a teenager being beaten to death in broad daylight with wood planks in Chicago ? It was so horrific I literally couldn't watch all of it. I find it absolutely shocking the level of senseless violence that people (young people in particular) are capable of these days. The 4 kids that beat this guy were just teenagers themselves. Now an innocent kid is dead and 4 lives are ruined forever (not to mention the lives of all their family...

This is a story that I've been following locally...not sure how national it is, but I generally like Hyatts, so it's pretty disappointing to me. Not that any other major hotels' employment practices would necessarily stand up to the same scrutiny...who knows. I'm interested to see if these boycotts really happen.
