I didn't know whether to laugh or cry after reading this. I think the guy from Boston said it best:
"I've never seen so many useless 20-year-olds in my life," he said. "This is a uniquely American phenomenon."
ETA - I think what annoys me most about this is how the definition of a modern woman being "empowered" (a word I can no longer stand BTW) has been subverted and defined downward from a woman taking charge of her life to a woman feeling validated by being noticed by younger men. It's as if whatever a woman does to distinguish herself and succeed against the odds - it's her ability to to seduce her sons friends is what makes her "empowered" and now she gets to wear a sparkly crown for it too. It's just pathetic.
